And if we do? A poem

Madman runs a country.Sons drill and chip.Starving his people.Universal condemnation. He wants the bomb. And we sit at home. Some say we must go.And if we do?Soldiers sweep in and overtake.Man is found in a spider hole.Yet the war does not end there.Majority becomes majority. There's hell to pay.And we sit at home. Some say we must go.And if we do?Iraq.50,000 human beings.Hatred unleashed, decades stewing.Thugs go to the streets.Sadists and Sadrists, revenge.Reprisals against their oppressors.Repression born of repression. And we sit at home. Some say we must go.And if we do?Sudan.500,000 human beings.Images sicken our very souls. Our troops work. Their troops work.Bad apples. Work undone.Yet the worst is not yet here. No, not yet. Not if we go.And we sit at home. Some say we must go.And if we do?Rwanda.800,000 human beings. It is not our fight. He lied to us.Bring them back.We are hated. We hate ourselves. And we sit at home. Some say we must go.And if we do?Cambodia.2,000,000 human beings. Thus the ugly pendulum swings.Iron-fisted theocracy creeps.Neighbors killing neighbors.Innocents die.Families cry.Madmen wait. And we sit at home. Some say we must go.And if we do?
